Description:
The Communications Ministry currently designs flyers & promotional items, keeps up our website, prints certificates and other needed materials, and sends out a monthly email newsletter in English. We hope to soon at least double the information available on our website, maintain an up-to-date database of church members and visitors and have a monthly newsletter in English and Spanish.

Purpose:
To keep the church family informed of events, opportunities and each other, and to raise awareness in our community of our church and its purpose, hopefully in an aesthetic way.

People with these Skills/Resources Needed:

• Copywriters: have a way with words, computer access
• Data Entry: Computer access, ability to read messy handwriting
• Designers: knowledge of design programs,computer access
• Information Gatherers: enjoy talking to people, organized
• Photographers: camera (preferably digital)
• Print Coordinators: a car and a telephone would be helpful but not absolutely necessary
• Proofreaders: eye for detail, good spelling and grammar
• Translators: bilingual Spanish/English, knowledge of church vocabulary, computer access

Commitment:
To be in regular contact with other members of the ministry (mainly by email), to meet the deadlines agreed upon, and to occasional (bi-monthly?) organizational meetings.
